Reebok Furylite Sandal

The recent heat wave and the ongoing lockdown has meant footwear has leant heavily on the informal style for those working from home. Acknowledging the current situation and taking a punt on the summer days ahead, Reebok is launching its all-new Furylite sandal. Bringing a minimalistic look to the humble sandal, these futuristic looking sandals dig deep into the archives of the footwear brand to mix the old with the new.

The Furylite looks much like a trainer that is had certain elements cut away to bring freshness to the discerning gent’s feet. The large padded nylon tongue is the focal point with a mesh back and adjustable velcro straps on the side and ankle to keep the foot in place. This gives the open-toed prerequisite of sandals with the exposed sides, giving the breezy feel.

There is ample cushioning with the 3D ultralite EVA foam midsole that is paired with the high-performance synthetic outsole. Again, these are sandals that feel like trainers to wear, with the vastness of the cushioning more akin to a sports trainer than a flat-soled sandal.

The Furylite sandal is available in three colourways: black-white-blaze berry, white-primal red-crushed cobalt and skull grey-white-pixel pink. Available from 29th May from Reebok Japan’s website only at the time of publishing, it is yet to be known if other Reebok stores will stock these sandals, giving this something of an exclusive feel, should the discerning gent be able to slide his feet into these.
