Fashion and fragrance house, Ermenegildo Zegna, has launched a new Eau de Parfum collection – Ermenegildo Zegna XXX. It’s a contemporary collection of fragrances that build on verve and expression – so much so the brand has three distinct fragrances in the collection to cater for the needs of every discerning gent.
The unique melting glass bottles are themed on what the brand describes as multidimensional scents named Verdigris, Cyprium and Charcoal. Each bottle is colour coded to each scent. There is a rich texture composition to each of the scents, full of sophisticated notes. Let’s take a look at each of the fragrances.
XXX Verdigris
This is a marriage of cardamon essential oils and icy winter accord. The combination results in a woody yet watery fragrance that goes onto develop a trail of scent across liquid metal, warm spice, thyme, violet leaves and titanium accords. XXX Verdigris comes in the green melted bottle.
XXX Cyprium
This is a union of cedarwood atlas and fiery lava accord. A woody fragrance that creates a balance between raw, rugged nature and modern aromatics as wild violet accords, lush herbs and the essence of copper all come together to bring this fragrance to life. XXX Cyprium comes in the copper melted bottle.
XXX Charcoal
This is the bond of saffron with mineral carbon accord to produce an oriental woody fragrance that leaves a lasting impression with big notes of black pepper, limbanol, elemi and the essence of graphite. XXX Charcoal comes in the grey melted glass bottle.
All three fragrances are profoundly masculine in scent so it will come down to the preference of the individual one which one he selects, or whether he gets all three and rotates through the collection.
