Few sneakers have stood the test of time like the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. The silhouette’s 108-year history has hardly changed, yet the styles and variants continue to grow the collection. This month sees another update, this time with a luxury theme, as the Chuck Taylor Modern Lux joins the family.
As one of the most versatile sneakers a discerning gent can own, the addition of the Modern Lux is a fusion of Converse’s rich sports heritage and innovation footwear design to create what is a lightweight, contemporary and slick styling that can easily be paired up to more formal attire such as a suit, or for more relaxed affairs when jeans or chinos are the order of the day.
The new Modern Lux features subtle styling details such as a moulded supple leather upper embossed with the classic All Star patch that is synonymous with the timeless design. The outsole features a one-piece Phylon bottom with the classic Chuck Taylor details to provide the lightweight cushioning for each discerning strike taken. The leather laces finish off the luxe look and feel.
It’s the first release in the Chuck Taylor Modern collection so expect further variants in due course. The Modern Lux is set to for release on 17th February and available from Converse stores.
