Adidas has long known that a good collaboration gets people talking and more importantly, buying its footwear. Thus, the unveiling of a new Adidas Originals Stan Smith version should come as no surprise. So, check out the latest with the Adidas Originals Stan Smith “Stan Marsh”, inspired by the cult of iconic TV show, South Park.
Taking its design cues from a mixture of South Park characters in Eric Cartman and Kyle Broflovski, Stan’s symbolic brown jacket with a red collar, blue hat with a red puffball and blue jeans looks, the new trainers feature a bright blue synthetic leather upper. It’s eye-catching in tone but is also aided in the design stakes by a matching suede tongue and contrasting red suede mudguards. The latter detail setting these trainers apart from other iterations of the famed Stan Smith’s.
Additional detailing is seen with the ‘Sweet Dude’ lettering at the heels and ‘Endorsed By:’ tongues with Stan Marsh. Finally, the printed insoles and white midsoles are marked by Adidas branding, as one would expect from a pair of Stan Smith’s.
No official release date has been announced for these trainers, but rumours are circulating that this launch could coincide with South Park’s move to the Paramount+ streaming service on November 25th, but nothing legit has been confirmed.
