Adidas x Lego: Ultraboost DNA

Adidas and Lego have done it again. The two brands, both global heavyweights in their own industries of footwear and toys respectively, have announced the latest collaboration to produce the Ultraboost DNA footwear.

The two brands are no strangers to each other, having collaborated on three occasions previously, with adaptations of the Superstar, ZX 800 and the ZX360 trainers. The latest incarnation is based on Adidas’ famed Ultraboost trainer.

The new Ultraboost DNA collaboration features heel counters textured like Lego bricks, three brick-like rubber accents on the sides of each trainer to demonstrate the classic Adidas three stripes plus further touches of detail with a co-branded tongue patch whilst eager Lego fans might also recognize the colour tones in play with the new Ultraboost DNA. The new colour combinations feature classic Lego hues of red, blue, green and yellow.

Whilst fashion and play might be the main themes of the new footwear, these are still the same Ultraboost trainers we know and love. With signature Boost midsoles, sock-like fit and textured rubber outsoles for stability, these still deliver on the performance front. The sustainability factor has also been factored into this new release too, with Adidas’ proprietary Primegreen fabric – created of upcycled plastic as – upping the green creds here.

The three colours for men are available for £160 whilst youth versions are £120, if the discerning gent also wanted to kit up his son.
