The summer seems to be the right time for collaboration, well in the footwear arena anyway as DiscerningGent.com recently reported on the partnership of Adidas x Henry Poole tailors of Saville Row. Following hot in the footsteps, pun intended, is the collaboration between music artist Pharrell Williams and Adidas Originals to produce the Tennis Hu.
Everyone knows of the existing Adidas Originals Stan Smith style – the clean and crisp summer-ready design featuring the airy Primeknit upper sitting on EVA waffle-textured midsole that gives it the comfort step-by-step feel the discerning gent needs. The minimalist lacing system finishes off the detailing.
Where the collaboration with Pharrell comes in is with the dazzling new colour palettes that add eye-catching flair to the otherwise relaxed and classic design. There are four new design in the latest collaboration – two based on the white waffle sole with Pharrell-inspired Primeknit uppers alongside two marbled soled versions with vibrant Primeknit uppers created by the man himself.
The Adidas Originals x Pharrell Williams footwear range cost RRP £94.95 and is available from Adidas.
